Henry H. Anderson, Jr. Sail Training Scholarship
The Henry H. Anderson, Jr. Sail Training Scholarship was established in 1999 and is designed to assist young people between the ages of 14 and 19 achieve a sail training experience aboard a USCG (or national equivalent) inspected ASTA member vessel.  Scholarships are available to both individuals and groups.

Ernestine Bennett Memorial Sail Training Scholarship

The Ernestine Bennett Memorial Sail Training Scholarship was established in 2003. Designed to assist people to achieve a sail training experience aboard a USCG (or national equivalent) inspected ASTA member vessel, the Ernestine Bennett Memorial Sail Training Scholarship is available to people ages 14 and above with special consideration going to female applicants from the Pacific Northwest.

 


Ted Cochran Memorial Scholarship For CLASS AFLOAT™
Class Afloat™, in conjunction with the American Sail Training Association, offers an annual memorial scholarship in the name of former friend and supporter Ted Cochran. Covering one semester of tuition costs, this scholarship will be awarded to a Class Afloat™ applicant who is affiliated with an ASTA member organization.


ASTA Sailing Vessel Assistance Grant
The ASTA Sailing Vessel Assistance Grant is designed to assist ASTA member vessels, which may not be USCG inspected, in maintenance and improvement projects that will better enable them to further ASTA's mission.

ASTA Crew Development Grant
The ASTA Crew Development Grant is designed to help keep motivated crewmembers in the ASTA fleet by assisting them in upgrading their professional qualifications through training.
