as USCG-inspected Sailing School or Passenger Vessels. Applicant
must be an Organizational Member of the American Sail Training Association.
Priority will be given to requests that further the mission and
goals of the American Sail Training Association or are consistent
with ASTA's stated mission. Maximum grant award: $1,000.
Application deadlines
Applications may be submitted at any time. We suggest
that applications be submitted at least four (4) months prior to
need.
How to Apply for an ASTA Sailing Vessel Assistance
Grant
Please complete the application in full; incomplete
applications will not be considered. Applications should be typewritten
or legibly printed. Forms may be downloaded from the ASTA website

efforts to obtain the equipment or service at the best price.
Collateral information about the vessel and the education
program performed in conjunction with its operations or about the
project for which funds are sought may be sent with the application
in order to better inform the selection committee.
A sub-committee of ASTA's Technical Committee will
review all applications and supporting materials and make a recommendation
to ASTA's Board of Directors. All decisions of the Board of Directors
of the American Sail Training Association are final.
Formal notification will be sent upon selection.
Awards will be paid upon presentation of receipt
for equipment or service marked paid (reimbursing organization)
or ASTA will pay the supplier directly in US funds.
Mention of the grant and a descriptive paragraph
(supplied by ASTA) must appear in the organization's newsletter
and in at least one other publication and is the responsibility
of the receiving organization which should send copies to ASTA.
