Woods Hole, MA - In recent days Sea Education Association (SEA) has received phone calls and emails from displaced Tulane University students inquiring about upcoming Fall opportunities that may still be available. Tulane has announced that they will not be open for arriving fall semester students.

Sea Education Association operates a SEA Semester program that runs from October 11, 2005 through January 8, 2006. Interested students from colleges affected by Hurricane Katrina are invited to inquire about earning their semester credit by participating in this academic program with six weeks of shore study in Woods Hole, MA, followed by six weeks at sea on board one of SEA's research sailing vessels. Inquiries should be directed to the organization's website www.sea.edu or to Judith Froman at jfroman@sea.edu

Sea Education Association (SEA) was founded in 1971 as a nonprofit educational institution, which provides challenging multi-disciplinary academic programs ashore and at sea. Its 12-week SEA Semester program for undergraduates integrates marine science, maritime literature, history and policy and practical seamanship with deep-water oceanographic research. Since its founding over 6,700 students have participated in its programs.
